Hello to all members of NCWCF
I hope this finds each and every one of you well and taking good care of each other.
Thanks to you and your families for sharing your experience in this time of isolation. I was asked to share my experience as a single person living alone .
For those who know me, I am a people person.
Being with people, helping people is who I am. Not being able to be with my family, my parish family and friends is difficult. My conversations while I am at home tend to be very one sided LOL!
But I have discovered the best way for me each day is to start with prayer, read scripture and online masses. I am grateful for the masses each morning from Bishop Barron, as well as St. Anne's Church.
A very important part of my day is walking. I average 7 to 9 miles a day. While I walk, I pray the Rosary; thank God for all the blessings I have received and then I have a great conversation with HIM.
During my conversation, I thank Him for CWL - Calling, Wanting, Loving me.
Also, as I walk, I greet each person I encounter, "my holy moments". These encounters are very uplifting.
I pray that each of us remains healthy and safe. May God continue to watch over us.
P.S. As of this writing I have walked 299 miles. This also came to me while walking today PANDEMIC means People Always Need Devotion Evoking Meaning In Christ.
Hi to all our family and friends at the North Central Windsor Catholic Family of Parishes. My husband Ryan and I and our four children Ryli, River, Lyla & Lyndon would like to share with you a little bit of what our family has been doing during these times of uncertainty. As a family of six settling into a new routine with all of us home together seemed to fall into place really fast, much easier than we thought. The children all knew and understood the severity of the virus and why we needed to stay home. With our daughter having asthma and having grandparents they love this made it easy to understand the reasoning why we needed to stay at home.
During this time our family has been so blessed to do so much together. There are movies to watch, legos to build, school work to complete, crafts to make, baking to be baked, music to play, hairdressing fun, lots of golf and outdoors fun in the yard, prayers of thankfulness and lots of laughs which all lead to memories we will never forget.
Everyone has settled into new routines. The girls have been continuing to help others and the community who are in need. Our oldest son has been watching a pair of nesting doves in our yard and he believes that they are a sign from God. I told him I to believe it and in the end we will be ok with God by our side. Our youngest son misses going to church every week praying and being with his teachers and Sunday friends. He's enjoyed the short lessons we've watched on you tube about our Faith.
Through these times we have all remained strong believing maybe this time was what we all needed to have the time to be together with no distractions but truly to just be home as a family. In the past we have done so much together but with six busy schedules of activities, work and meetings it felt like there was never enough time. So now we have been given the time and it has truly opened up our eyes. Life goes so fast and when things go back to normal I don't think we will be going back to that normal crazy life of busy schedules. I think we have learned that this time has allowed us to enjoy and love each other more.
Having my husband and children home constantly has truly been a blessing. Each night I go to bed so thankful to God that he has given us this time together as a family. We are not certain of how long this time will last but we believe each day together is TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD and that as a family we will get through it together.
God bless everyone and stay safe.
Hello Everyone! For those of you who don’t know us, we are Eugene and Sarah Spadafora.
We hope you are doing well during this difficult time. The past month has brought new challenges and has required us to make many adjustments. This past Easter was especially difficult, as it is usually a time we all get together to celebrate. This year, the celebration looked different, but we know God’s love for us remains the same. We are trying to remember, that just like Easter Sunday promises a future of hope and resurrection, there are brighter days ahead and that God will see us through. Although this past month has brought challenges, it has also given us the opportunity to spend more time together. We have focused our extra time and energy on checking off some long overdue items on the to-do list, such as finishing some projects around the house. We have also stayed connected and had the chance to catch up with family and friends over the phone and through video chats.
We look forward to coming together again as a parish family after this passes, with renewed strength and faith. Take care and God bless.
