Hello,
Covid-19 has certainly been an adjustment for our family but a challenge we are willing to meet to protect those members of our community that are most vulnerable.
We have been maintaining praying together as a family to help focus on our priorities. We have also started our own bible study with my Sisters, some of whom live out of town, via Zoom so we stay connected and continue to grow in our faith together. Having masses posted on line has been wonderful through Assumption Parish.
We have been talking a lot to our friends and family on FaceTime. It is not something I have used before and I thought it would feel the same as talking on the phone but it was different and less isolating. We have set up a schedule to make sure my parents have been getting multiple calls a day to help them to get through this. Checking in on our elderly is SO important, this about more than just our household.
Our family has been very involved with our neighborhood Facebook page events. They frequently post different activities to put specific objects in one of your windows so when we each go for walks we can look and find them.
Another neighbourhood activity was FrontStepProject. This is a picture taken from that.
#FrontStepProjects where local photographers, this one was taken by Sarah Dawn Photography, are taking pictures in exchange for families contributing to small local businesses.
Supporting our emergency service workers has felt good too. In the picture you can see our hearts for healthcare sign. Many hospital staff members park on our street and we have been cheering them on during difficult times.
I hope your family is adjusting well too, we are praying for you.
Sarah, Tim and Heather
