Hello Everyone!
Hope all members of our church family are doing well and staying safe and healthy!
The last couple of w eeks have definitely been challenging, as I'm sure they have ben for you all. It's difficult, especially with young kids, to not be able to socialize or go anywhere, eat out, hang out with friends, hug grandparents. This all feels very strange! We are doing our best to stay positive by having other kinds of fun together. We've been doing big puzzles, baking, making movie nights at our own "theatre", reading lots and lots of books, and going for walks. The boys have school assignments daily as their awesome teachers have been doing a great job guiding their learning already from a distance.
A bright spot in our week is being able to live stream the Mass on Sundays (it's kind of nice to be able to just get up 2 minutes before mass starts!. Last week we were able to live stream Fr. Mike Schmitz's Mass from Ascension Presents Online. His homily was amazing and exactly what we needed to hear that day. God always finds a way to get through! We have also been enjoying doing our Lenten Jars of Clay devotion together daily as well as following Matthew Kelly's Best Lent Ever videos. These have all brought a lot of light and positivity and hope into our days that otherwise would not be there during these hard times. We have been praying for everyone daily! We WILL get through this together! Read the words of Psalm 91 every day if you can...and stand on those strong and beautiful promises of God.
