This has been a difficult time for us as I’m sure it is for many Catholics. The cancelling of Mass was a shocker to us and the lack of access to sacraments is difficult to take. We really miss the fellowship and community at MPB and St. Theresa. I know I will never take it for granted again.
Nicole continues to work bringing the mail to the good people of Leamington while I am laid off from the casino so I’m with the kids all day.
We are trying to maintain a domestic church. We are praying a special Corona Novena nightly as a family and trying to pray the rosary more often. It’s not always easy to get everyone to settle down for prayer time but it is always worth it and a source of peace. Each member of the family gets a minute to say what they are thankful for or any intentions. Playing praise music is a helpful less-formal way to keep Jesus in our day.
The rest of our time we are playing catch in the street, watching TV, going for walks, doing a puzzle and playing board games. We are also having a new tile shower installed so that’s kind of exciting.
We are hoping that we can get back to normal life ASAP.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
