In this unprecedented & trying times, my wife & I along with our kids, have learned to slowly adapt to what is available at hand. We knew that normal life has been put on “paused” mode temporarily. Humanity has been hit by this catastrophe in unparalleled ways. Maybe this is a test from above to see how strong our faith is. Or maybe it’s a way of showing us how much to give up for Lent. Regardless of what it is, we have noticed that our family has sort of gelled together in more ways than we’ve ever did. We have been watching more movies as a family at night, watching Mass on TV every Sunday, conversing about current events & trivial things more frequently, and most especially, we have been laughing together more often than before.
My wife, who works in the healthcare field, has still been going to work full time. I pray every day, not only for her own safety, but for all the healthcare workers & other frontliners out there that are risking their health by continuously going to work every day. And I pray every night that this test-of-faith ordeal that the world is going through will be soon be over & that we shall all persevere.
