Seven new Catholic deacons in flowing robes gave a little cheer as they emerged into the chilly air this weekend after being ordained into an elite group that ministers to society’s most vulnerable. The group of seven Roman Catholic deacons, whose job it will be to care for poor and sick, led a procession that included a total of 81 deacons and other church leaders following a special Saturday ceremony inside St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica in downtown London.
NOVEMBER CAMPAIGN The Catholic Women’s League of Most Precious Blood and Our Lady of Guadalupe will be collecting new mitts, gloves and socks for the month of November. All donations will be distributed to our community partners to assist them in keeping their clientele warm this winter. For those who worship at San Juan Diego, St Theresa & Sts. Cyril and Methodius and would like to donate, please drop off your donation at the back of the church in the box provided by the CWL. Thank you for your generosity.
NEW ALTAR SERVERS TRAINING We are looking for some new altar servers at all the masses! If your child is interested in this ministry, please come out to our training session at the Most Precious Blood Church Site on Saturday, Nov. 9th at 10am. This session will be for potential servers that will help at all of our parishes. The recommendation is that altar servers must have made their First Communion in order to serve at mass. Please let Christine Coyle know that your child will be attending this training session by sending her an email at [email protected].
